Summer Intern Presentations

Join us to learn about what our Research Department summer interns have been busy doing over the last 12-weeks! Our two interns will give a 15-minute presentation on their independent project. Talks will be on oysters and seagrass in the Indian River Lagoon. Capacity for this event is limited and registration is required (see below). We hope you can come out to show your support of our interns budding scientific careers!

  • Jada Brown, our Seagrass Intern, will present on her project associated with our ongoing seagrass field work. Her project assesses the role of herbivore exclusion devices on the growth of transplanted Halodule wrightii seagrass along a latitudinal gradient in the Indian River Lagoon.
  • Aiden Rooney, our Oyster Intern, will present on her project which was aimed at assessing spatial and temporal drivers of oyster recruitment to the St. Lucie Estuary and Indian River Lagoon.
