Group Cleanups

Part of a club, company, homeschool group or a large family that wants to protect the environment while supporting a good cause? Organize a Private Waterways Cleanup with Florida Oceanographic! 

Cleanup Locations: Beaches/parks in Jensen Beach and Stuart (South Hutchinson Island). Other requested locations can be considered but may incur an additional fee. 

Availability: Monday - Saturday, based on staffing; blackout dates, including holiday weeks, apply.     

Start time: Mornings - between 8:30am - 10am / Afternoons - after 4pm (weekdays only)

Duration: up to 2 hours 

Group Size: Up to 25 participants 

Private  Cleanup includes: 

  • All cleanup materials - buckets, gloves, trash bags, grabbers (upon request) 
  • Pre-cleanup discussion led by Florida Oceanographic staff
  • Self-guided cleanup (approx. 1 hour)
  • Optional student activity or follow-up chat reviewing trash items collected 
  • Access to tracking app for volunteer hours (provided in advance for signup/download) 

Suggested Donation: 

Weekday (Monday - Friday) events: 

  • $100 - group under 15 participants 
  • $150- Groups with 15 - 25 participants 

Weekend (Saturday) events: 

  • $200 - group under 15 participants 
  • $250- Groups with 15 - 25 participants 

 


Cleanup Sponsorship Option for Corporate Groups/Businesses

Suggested Donation:

Weekday (Monday - Friday) Events: 

  • $500 - groups up to 20 participants
  • $1,000- groups between 20 - 40 participants

Weekend (Saturday) events: 

  • $600 - group under 20 participants 
  • $1,000- Groups with 20 - 40 participants 

Sponsorship Benefits include:

Cleanup Details: 

  • Bookings require a minimum of 3-week notice and are subject to availability.
  • Participants under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult/guardian. 
  • All participants will be required to sign a waiver prior to participation. 
  • Events are light rain or shine. Cleanups may be rescheduled for bad weather, prior to start. 
    • Rain dates can be pre-scheduled for convenience.
    • A cleanup will not be rescheduled once it has started.
  • Cleanup must be paid in full no later than 2-week prior to date. 
  • Cleanup location may be modified by organization, as necessary. 
  • All payments are considered a donation and no refunds will be issued. 
  • Rescheduling, especially for events less than one week out will be at the discretion/availability of the organization.
