Seagrass Matting Prep Event - Afternoon (FULL)

About the Event

In preparation for our seagrass matting events end of March we are looking for volunteers to help cut large rolls of burlap into specified lengths. If you can use scissors and cut in a straight line this might be the perfect volunteer opportunity for you! This project is an integral part of our FOSTER (Florida Oceanographic Seagrass Training Education Restoration) program. This event is held outdoors in our Group Pavilion so please wear comfortable clothes, shoes, and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Please note the minimum age for this event is 10 years old. Participants under 18 years of age must be signed in and accompanied by an adult who is also registered for and participating in the event. We’ll meet you outside of Admissions. If interested but can’t attend the entire time please contact Rosemary Badger.

We have limited space available for this event.
