Seagrass Matting - FULL

About the Event

Registration for this event is closed.

Help us create seagrass mats that will be used to restore seagrass meadows in the Indian River Lagoon. This project is an integral part of our FOSTER (Florida Oceanographic Seagrass Training Education Restoration) program. We will be attaching seagrass fragments to pre-cut burlap mats. No experience needed. This event is outdoors under tents so please wear clothes that can get wet and dirty, closed-toe shoes, a hat, and sunglasses. Please bring a water bottle to stay hydrated, and feel free to bring a snack. Facial coverings must be worn when not eating or drinking. Please note the minimum age of participants is 18 years of age.  We’ll meet you outside of our Visitors Center Building.

Due to COVID-19 we have limited space available for this event, so please RSVP. Space is limited and registration closes on April 14th at 3:15pm or when full. For more information contact Rosemary Badger.
