Curious about marine science and conservation? Join Florida Oceanographic Society for Meet a Scientist, a monthly opportunity to connect directly with members of our research team.
Each session features a casual 15–30 minute discussion where guests can learn about a wide range of topics—from pathways to becoming a scientist, to environmental advocacy, to the important research being conducted right here at the Coastal Center.
Led by Dr. Krista McCoy and the Florida Oceanographic research team, these conversations offer a unique behind-the-scenes look at how science is helping protect our local waterways and ecosystems.
Whether you're an aspiring scientist, a lifelong learner, or simply curious about the natural world, this experience is a great way to engage with the people making a difference.
