Guided Nature Trail Walk

About the Event

Are you up for a special morning nature trail walk before the Coastal Center opens to the public? Join one of Florida Oceanographic’s Volunteer Trail Guides for a 1-mile narrated stroll through the mangroves and hammocks down to the Indian River Lagoon. You’ll discover the native plants and animals – as well as the history – of this barrier island ecosystem. Afterwards, explore the Coastal Center and learn more about Florida’s coastal ecosystems during our daily programs. Coastal Center admission valid until 12:30 pm following the nature walk. For your safety, this intimate experience will be capped at 6 participants.
