Meet Rosanne Danner

Six years ago, Rosanne Danner embarked on a new chapter of her life, moving to the charming community of Jensen Beach, FL. A big change from her upbringing in the Bronx, NY, she was drawn to this area thanks to her brother's guidance and fell in love with its beauty.

After her retirement in 2015, and eager to give back and immerse herself in the local “science scene”, Rosanne found her niche at Florida Oceanographic Society. Joining as a volunteer in 2022, she has since dedicated close to 300 hours to the organization. As an Exhibit Guide, she delights in sharing her passion for marine life with visitors and witnessing their excitement.

Retirement hasn't slowed Rosanne down one bit. In addition to her volunteer work, she runs her own travel planning service and spearheads a girl’s STEM program – a passion of hers. Her past endeavors include leading a Robotics nonprofit, coaching award-winning teams, and even earning the title of Teacher of the Year.

Always on the go, Rosanne still finds time to pursue her hobbies, from photography and travel to crocheting and indulging in British Murder Mysteries. Retirement? For Rosanne, it's just another opportunity to make a difference and embrace life to the fullest.

Favorite Local Restaurants: Conchy Joe’s has that old time Florida feel and she enjoys sitting by the water and eating local fresh fish. Bella Roma in Port St. Lucie is her favorite bakery which carries Italian pastries and NY Pizza.

Recent Book and Favorite Authors: She usually has 2-3 books in progress at one time. An admitted closet reader, sci-fi, fantasy and mystery are her favorite. Jim Butcher, JK Rowling and Janet Evanovich head up the list of favorite authors.

Movies, TV Series: British Murder Mysteries – Vera, Shetland and Lewis are top of her list, as is, New Tricks on BritBox or Ovation TV. With all that being said, she also admits to enjoying The Voice and Amazing Race.
